“Recently a series of heavy thunderstorms caused a regional power outage. Our home standby generator automatically turned on and kept the things running. However, we noticed that the air conditioner was now making a lot of noise every time it started. With the power still out and the generator on, we called MW Mechanical and they came out at 7:30p (during the storms) to look at the unit.

They installed a soft starter on the AC unit and fixed the issue. While they were there they also inspected the rest of the system, took very thorough and detailed readings related to the coolant and the duct pressures to ensure no other surprise issues. Mark (the MW tech) explained the data in very easy to understand terms and assured us all was good. The only charge was for the soft start part and that cost was provided before the service, and before any of the other additional investigatorial work.

MW was the only company that took the time to reply after hours and come nearly 37 miles during some unpredictable and nasty weather; ensuring that our generator was not working harder than it should when the AC unit came on and helping to extend the unit's life.
